Sunday the 8th. Still driving. Stop at road side park for breakfast. Drive some more. See St. Louis arch around 9:30pm. Use ham radios to find Taco Bell. Eat about 2:30pm. Drive towards Andrews University. Arrive at Andrews around 10:30pm. Sleep the night at Andrews.
Monday the 9th. Wake up to football team practicing at 4:30am. Tony and Sherri leave with another club to head up to Oshkosh. Go to Battle Creek for Adventist History Tours. See Kellogg's Cereal City around 1:00pm. Eat at park in Battle Creek. Drive to Warren Dunes. Arrive around 5:30pm. Play on dunes for 2hr then have supper. Head back to Andrews. Arrive around 9:30pm.
Tuesday the 10th. Get up early to got to Chicago. Arrive around 9:00am. Walk navy pier looking at strange art until 9:50am head to Museum of Science and Industry. Eat lunch at Pizza Hut in basement of museum. Leave museum at 1:45pm. Drive to Oshkosh, arrive at 5:30pm. Tony leads us in with Joshua's pastors New Beetle. Unload bus. Eat supper with Joshua. Finish putting stuff away and head to evening meeting. Showers then bed.
Wednesday the 11th. Woke up by drum corp. at 5:00am.Morning worship with conference. Head to hangers. Look around until noon then have lunch. Head back to the hangers along with some pin trading. 4:00pm TLTs help Donny Gore line up parade. After parade we watch the air show. Then supper and evening meeting. Showers then bed.
Thursday the 12th. No drums this morning. Morning worship with the conference. Then back to the hangers for more looking around. Head back to camp for lunch. Trade pins most of the afternoon. TLTs help line up parade again at 3:30pm. After parade we watch the air show. Then head back to camp for supper. Evening meeting, showers and bed. After every one is in bed we are woke up because there a tornado warning for that county. We listen on the radios to the weather net find out that there is no tornado but we are going to get hail and rain. We got everybody up and in the conference trailer to get away from the hail that never came. Some of the directors met at the flag poles to pray when they heard about the tornado. When they were done praying the wind turned 90 degrees and blew the front of the storm away but the tail was going to hit us. The hams on the weather net said that the tail of the storm split and went around the Oshkosh area. So all that we got was some rain.
Friday the 13th. Morning worship with conference. Back to the hangers for more looking around. Lunch then over to the EAA air museum. Line up parade then air show. Supper then the evening meeting. Then showers and bed. cold and dreary day.
Saturday the 14th. Worship with the conference. Then down to the main meeting area for church and Master guide investure. Look at Sabbath stuff in the hangers. Line up parade then march in the parade. Then over to the air show. Then those of us who got invested got Desmond T. Doss to sign our scarves. Meet Steve Arington. Head back to camp for supper. Then some of us stayed behind to take camp down. Everybody else went down to the evening meeting. The bus arrived at 11:00pm. We left at 12:30 am.
Sunday the 15th. We drive to St. Louis for breakfast. Head to Oklahoma for lunch. Then drive back to Texas. Arrive at 8:00pm at conference office.
